Apple Fire Continues to Rage East of Los Angeles

The Apple Fire, which began Friday, has grown to 27,319 acres Wednesday – more than 42 square miles. The fire is 30% contained, with more than 2,500 firefighters battling the blaze. 

The fire is continuing to spread to the north into Mill Creek Canyon, where sparse vegetation is decreasing in intensity. 

Evacuation orders are underway for Oak Glen residents of San Bernardino County. Forest Falls, Pioneertown, and Rim Rock are under evacuation warning.
