Tropical Storm Isaias Heading Toward the Carolina Coast

Hurricane and Tropical Storm warnings are in effect along the Carolina coastline, as Tropical Storm Isaias approaches. Coastal communities are bracing for storm surges, hurricane-force winds, and flash flooding as Isaias is forecast to make landfall Monday night. 

The National Hurricane Center stated, “heavy rainfall will result in flash and urban flooding, some of which may be significant in the eastern Carolinas and the mid-Atlantic, through Tuesday.”

After landfall, Isaias is expected to continue up the East Coast. Washington DC, Philadelphia, and New York are forecast to see 60-70 mph winds.
